8/7/2023 0 Comments Falcon bucooAlso very light and sensitive compared to other rods in its class. Soft tip allows the fish to fully inhale the bait and the rod is strong enough to pull them away from cover. I like to throw buzzbaits with it while using braid. 6'8" is a great topwater and jerkbait rod. Definitely be getting more soon!Ĭomments: Can't beat this rod for $70. It is a very light and comfortable rod and for the money I don't see how you could beat it. I found that the action is a little slow so I've started only using moving baits on it such as chatterbait, spinnerbait, some swimbaits, and even swim jigs. It is a 7'6 medium heavy kinda an all around rod. Tackle warehouse rocks!Ĭomments: I bought a falcon rod about a month ago and I've been fishing the heck out of it. I beat the snot out of mine and it's alot of fun to fish. I use it inshore for everything would be a great small moving bait rod for the bass guys. I would highly recommend this rod for anyone looking for a good quality low budget jerkbait/topwater stick, this rod is awesome for the price.Ĭomments: 10 fuji guides, Fuji reel seat good blank balances well. It is extremely well balanced and feels insane for the price, I use this rod for poppers and jerkbaits with 12lb copolymer and it works extremely well, really good feeling build quality with a flawlessly rolled blank, it looks fantastic and acts fantastic, falcon is a very nice brand and continues to impress me with this rod. I own higher priced rods St Croix, Shimano, etc., this Falcon $70 rod is just as good at less than half the price in some cases.Ĭomments: I have just recently received my 6'8" med falcon hd, out of the box review. Fuji reel seat, Fuji guides, well balanced. Cork handles are awesome and it balances well.Ĭomments: I have the 6'8" medium for jerkbaits, best $70 rod I've ever used. Rod performed flawlessly keeping the trebles pinned up with the moderate fast tip. Had it for over a year and just recently landed a 7.25 Largemouth on a Pop R. Not the most sensitive rod out there, but for $70 a great way to either get into baistcasting or expand your arsenal for moving baits on the cheap.Ĭomments: Bought this rod in MH 7' for a topwater rod. A great tip for casting jigs under overhangs and docks, perfect for reaction baits. I love the HD series and would love to see more spec optionsĬomments: Just caught my PB, a 7-lber, on a swim jig and this rod handled it like a charm. The only gripe I have with falcon as a company is that, too many of their models don't have enough rod specifications to fill up an arsenal. For the Price you can not beat themĬomments: These rods are nice, they stand the test of time too. A Tad heavy but they hold up to me which means they are very durable. Have always been a CARA Fan but They changed them. Great rods for the money spent!Ĭomments: have been a Falcon Fan for over 25years. Thinking of adding the 7 H model for froggin and flippin. Some may disagree but I like throwing 1/4oz. Soft enough for plugs with 10-12# line or enough backbone to switch to 16-20# for chatterbaits/spinnerbaits. ![]() Light weight plugs (bandit 200 #6 shad raps, small yellow magic poppers) are cast with ease. Having a Mike McClelland signature Cara, I knew falcon made a top notch rod, I just didn't realize the HDs would be the stars. I find myself using these rods more so that I don't beat up my G.Loomis rods.Ĭomments: Thoroughly happy with both of the HDs I've purchased. All of these rods have been perfect and for the money there isn't anything better imo. ![]() 6'8 med, 7' med casting and spinning, and a 7' mh.
